Planting Instructions: Sow Monkshood (Aconitum napellus) seeds outdoors in late fall or early winter for spring germination, or start indoors after cold stratifying seeds for 3-6 weeks in moist soil or water. Sow seeds 1/8 inch deep or on the soil surface and keep moist. Start indoors in seed trays at 60-65F with bright light. Transplant seedlings after 8 weeks when weather allows.
Sunlight & Soil: Prefers full sun to partial shade with damp, rich humus soil that retains moisture but drains well.
Watering Tips: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Mulch regularly.
Spacing: Transplant or thin plants 24-36 inches apart.
Care: Cut back in autumn; divide plants every 3-4 years. Wear gloves when handling, as all parts are highly poisonous.
